Also the Kalyan Junction is set to be revamped with another Railway Terminus being planned to ease rail transport in Mumbai.


The proposed four lane Expressway will enable people to travel between Virar- Vasai- Diva- Bhiwandi- Kalyan- Panve l to Alibag in a matter of few hours. It will have wide footpaths, subways, foot- over bridges and service roads linking the major towns.


Social infrastructure Several colleges and universities are situated in Kalyan like Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Hill Spring International Jr. College of Science and Commerce and Model College. Well- known schools like Holy Cross Convent School, KC Gandhi English School, Symbiosis School and Thomas High School are located here.


The malls located in Kalyan are Metro Junction Mall and Sarvodaya Mall.


Affordable living The location endows new age and futuristic living. The trend is more driven towards getting in the renowned architects from Singapore, Dubai and US to design the projects and bequeath landmark to the destination.


Thematic designs are being adopted to give the projects a distinct atmosphere.


Landscaping, botanical gardens and spectacular water features are used to add to the aesthetics of the project.


The average property value in Kalyan West is around ` 5,920 per sq ft while in Kalyan East is nearly ` 5,440 per sq ft.
